What we're looking for
We're seeking a detail-oriented Back-End Engineer to join our mission of revolutionizing healthcare access through blood donation. You'll architect, build, and maintain the secure, scalable infrastructure that powers our platform. You'll help us strengthen the national blood supply while democratizing access to personal health data with secure, robust, and resilient infrastructure
What you'll do
- Design and implement scalable back-end services and cloud infrastructure
- Build features end-to-end
- Optimize platform performance to deliver seamless user experiences for healthcare applications
- Feel empathy for the problem space of preventive health and optimization
Who you are
- 5+ years of experience with backend development using modern programming languages such as TS, JS, Python, Rust, or Go
- Scrupulous about things big and small. Highly opinionated on everything from high level architecture to variable names
- Product-minded. You default to “how can this work” rather than “why can’t this work”.
- You probably have:
- Proficiency with AWS cloud infrastructure and services
- Expertise in Postgres
- Experience building observability systems and monitoring tools
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles
- Interest in healthcare technology and/or personal health optimization
